After the wedding, collect guest photos by sending one clear message with the gallery link, suggesting the moments you would enjoy seeing, and letting guests decide what to share. First check whether the gallery is still accepting uploads and when stored files will be removed. Then download and organize the collection, and thank the people who contributed.

Send one clear message

Use the thank-you email, group message, or wedding website guests already know. Put the gallery link in the message so they do not have to search through old invitations. If the gallery has a QR code, include it as another way to open the collection, along with a clickable link.

Explain what the link opens and whether guests can add photos, videos, or both. Test the guest link on a phone before sending it. The Wedding Photos QR overview describes its guest upload flow.

Here is wording you can adapt:

Thank you for celebrating with us. If you took any photos you'd like to share, please add them to our gallery here: [gallery link]. We'd love to see your favorite moments from the day. Sharing is optional, and we're grateful you were there.

Change the wording to match your gallery and what you would like guests to share.

Let guests choose what to share

You can mention a few moments you would enjoy seeing, such as getting ready, family greetings, or the reception. Guests can choose a few favorites, share nothing, or keep their photos for themselves. Avoid asking them to search through every image or send a certain number.

Ask before posting a guest's photo publicly. A guest may be happy to share with your group and want to keep the photo there.

Check the upload deadline and storage period

Check the gallery's current settings before asking for contributions. A service may stop accepting new uploads before it removes stored photos, so confirm both dates with the provider. If uploads are closing soon, state the date plainly and keep the request optional.

Wedding Photos QR's privacy policy says gallery content is retained for up to six months after the wedding date. The owner or a guest may delete it earlier, and the policy lists circumstances where content may need to be kept longer. This retention period does not confirm how long new uploads remain open. Check the gallery's upload status and save the files before the retention period ends.

Download and organize the photos

Download the gallery while the files are available. Make a folder named for the wedding date or couple, and separate photos from videos if that helps you browse them. You can add folders for the ceremony or reception when you have enough images to make them useful.

Open a few downloaded files to confirm they work, then keep a second copy somewhere separate from your everyday device. Check what a bulk download includes and whether it has a fee before relying on it. Wedding Photos QR offers a paid download option after the wedding; its pricing page has the current details.

Thank the people who contributed

Thank guests in your original message, then send a personal note to anyone who shared a set of photos you especially enjoyed. If you share their photos with family or online, ask first and credit them if they would like that.

Thank you for adding your photos to our gallery. We loved seeing the day from your point of view.
